Our house clearances are done in a very sympathetic manner. We can collect keys from yourself or a friend, neighbour or probate administrator, whatever is needed and do not require anyone to be present on the day of the house clearance. We will always put items to one side from a house clearance that we can donate to charity, this is part of our service.

What Size Vans Do You Use?
We use large (unmarked for your discretion) luton vans, they are the largest vans in their class. They measure 14ft in length with a light weight luton box. Hi-cube body 180′ degrees with a huge 22 cubic metre volume, lower chassis for quicker and easy loading.
Case study for a house clearance in the St Andrews area
A client called us to ask if we’d clear out his three bedroomed semi-detached house in St Andrews. He and has young family had moved to the countryside three months previously and their house in the city had been on the market. It had not yet sold and while it was lying empty, burglars had spotted their chance and broken in, leaving the property in a mess. Not much had been stolen since the family had already moved most of their personal effects to the countryside, although there was still some furniture in the house.
The client wanted us to completely clear the house, clean up the mess left by the burglars and arrange for new improved security to be fitted. The client wanted us to act as quickly as possible to avoid another burglary. He was also worried that squatters might take advantage of the situation. We told him we could start the very next day.
The house had a driveway, so we had no difficulty parking our vehicles. We met the owner at the property and then began work on the clearance following a quick appraisal of the job.
The burglars had left a mess in kitchen which we cleared up. It looked like they’d also had something of a party at the property since the living room had bottles, cans and cigarette ends strewn around which we cleared up.
The locksmith arrived just after midday and he changed all of the locks on the doors and fitted window locks as we carried out the clearance.

There was a very large table and a sofa in the living room, but apart from that there were few large items of furniture to remove apart from beds and chests of drawers in the bedrooms. We told the client that the modern furniture had little value and he readily agreed that we could donate it to a charity shop in St Andrews.
As always, we checked carefully to make sure mo items of value had been left in the furniture. Inside one chest of drawers we found a small ring box, jammed at the back of a drawer. Inside was a handsome gold wedding ring, which we immediately handed over to the client who was still at the property. It turned out to be his late Mother’s wedding ring, which he thought had been lost for good.
The client said that he was “very impressed” with the clearance. He was also delighted that we’d found his Mother’s wedding ring which had great sentimental value.
